About Anna Biondo

Anna Biondo is a multidisciplinary visual artist who develops a practice that expands through embroidery, sewing, and collage, recognizing cutouts as the first gesture that awakens matter and guides the movement of form. Her research explores symbolic processes and affective experiments in dialogue with analytical psychology, mental health, and sensitive ways of existing in the world.

Her production engages with biomorphic visuals and the narrative of continuous flow, where the realms of nature intertwine in a mystical weave, and rooting occurs upon touching the earth. Jungian and anthroposophical influences act as living agents of translation between psyche, body, and affects, manifesting in malleable and relational sculptures, installations, performances, and malleable paintings. Each work emerges as a symbolic field, where narratives and dialogues interlace, revealing the invisible lines of connection that traverse matter, imagination, and experience.

Holds a degree in Drawing and Design at the São Paulo School of Fine Arts, with a postgraduate degree in Visual Arts from Santa Marcelina University, Anna has built a trajectory spanning visual arts, theater, therapeutic processes, and educational practices. Since 2020, she has served as Special Projects Director at The55Project in Miami, coordinating artistic programs, residencies, and art fairs to foster connections between Brazilian artists and the international market. Her research consolidates in the use of recycled wool and felt, embroideries, and cutouts as language, exploring the transformation of matter and narratives through works that invite relation, presence, and listening.
